With J’adore L’Or, the House of Dior unveils another olfactory facet of their best-seller J’adore. The fragrance wraps women in a rich and woodsy floral scent, like a second skin. J’adore L’Or is an olfactory plunge into the heart of this legendary couture house, its sources of inspiration and the superlative materials and ingredients they are so attached to. According to the house, the bottle’s decoration is done entirely by hand.
More complex and intense than the original fragrance, it was the idea of gold (“L’or”) – a color and a material that is omnipresent in the House of Dior’s collections – that inspired perfumer François Demachy in creating this scent. J’adore l’Or opens with green and floral notes that segue into a bouquet of May rose and jasmine absolutes, which has been enhanced with other white-flower facets. The sweet, heady trail reveals a blend of patchouli, tonka bean, labdanum, vanilla and amber, making J’adore L’Or an almost oriental composition. Perfumer: François Demachy.
Essence de Parfum 1.3 oz. Limited edition.
The emblematic J’adore bottle has been adorned with fine gold wire wrapped around the neck. The decoration is done entirely by hand, echoing the house’s haute-couture spirit.
