Description

The Six Scents Series Three collection is composed of the following six fragrances: Fragrance N°1: A blend of mandarin orange, bergamot, orange, lavender, basil, violet leaves, lentisk resin, jasmine, magnolia, attar of Bulgarian rose, iris, cyclamen, honeysuckle, vetiver, kephalis and moss. Fragrance N°2: A composition that intertwines orange, mandarin orange, pear, neroli, mimosa, rose, ylang-ylang, tuberose, iris, amyris, tonka bean, ambrette seed and vanilla. Fragrance N°3: A fusion of green mandarin orange, bergamot, pink pepper, nutmeg, ambrette seed, cedar, frankincense, a leather accord, sandalwood, amber and musks. Fragrance N°4: A harmony of pear, violet leaf, ylang-ylang, rose, cedar, a leather accord, frankincense, powdery musks, tonka bean and benzoin. Fragrance N°5: A fragrance inspired by three different varieties of cypress (hiba, sugi, hinoki), which also has ‘motor oil’ and ‘icy saltwater’ accords, as well as notes of nutmeg, rosemary, sandalwood and fir balsam. The photo and pyramid are for fragrance N°6, ‘M,’ which opens with a spicy note of cardamom. The heart unveils woody notes of cedar intertwined with a touch of black plum. The warm, animalic trail blends tonka bean, castoreum, civet and musk.

History

After their first two olfactory series, Six Scents is launching their third collection of fragrances, ‘an exploration into the nature of childhood memories and the influence of adolescence on identity.’ Six Scents Series Three is a line of 6 fragrances, composed by 6 designers working with 6 perfumers from Givaudan. Each fragrance comes with a portrait of the designer who inspired it, plus a DVD. All six fragrances are unisex. The following list gives the designer’s name first, then the perfumer’s: N°1: “Beau Bow” by Alexis Mabille and Rodrigo Flores-Roux, N°2: “Trompe L’Oeil” by Mary Katrantzou and Shyamala Maisondieu, N°3: “Can’t Smell Fear” by Juun.J and Natalie Gracia-Cetto, N°4: “Ascent” by Rad Hourani and Christophe Raynaud, N°5: “#087” by N.Hoolywood and Stephen Nilsen, N°6: “M” by Ohne Titel and Yann Vasnier.
