Two new men are becoming faces of fragrances: Fendi wil... Go
Lemon Verbena, Chamomile, Sclary Sage, Peach
In 2011, for the 40th anniversary of their best-selling scent, Aromatics Elixir, Clinique unveils Perfumer’s Reserve. The brand considers this updated version of the perfume like a particularly successful vintage for a great wine. Aromatics Elixir’s DNA is still there; the fragrance has simply been revised with purer essences. The perfume’s four main ingredients, ‘rose, jasmine, myrrh and patchouli, are now obtained through molecular distillation […] in order to achieve the quintessence of each scent,’ Clinique explains. The trail is as powerfully opulent as the original’s.
Slightly more oriental than the original scent, Aromatics Elixir Perfumer’s Reserve opens with spicy notes and a fruity touch of peach. The floral heart blends rose, jasmine and orange blossom with a honey tonality. The seriously patchouli trail also reveals myrrh and oak moss.
