Description

Its creator wanted a lavender that was evanescent, vaporous, purified of its coumarine / almondy facets to give ‘an impression of cool water with the structure of a perfume’. The herbaceious character is reinforced by citrus, tea and green violet notes. Very present, this cashmeran brings its warm, woody and addictive character to a wake of musky wood and light amber. Perfumer: Domitille Bertier, IFF

At a glance

Androgynous soliflore…

History

Soft, clean and delicately woody, lavender is one of the three stars of the Eaux de Fleurs collection by Chloé. Not retro nor mawkish, here lavender is treated like a soliflore, but an imaginary one. ‘When I close my eyes and breathe in the essence of lavender, I see sheets drying in the sun, the freshness of full summer,’ says perfumer Domitille Bertier. ‘I’ve been dreaming about a lavender scent for women for a long time’, she admits. The result is original and velvety, with an androgynous touch that may also appeal to men…
