Description

Still Life opens with yuzu, a small Japanese citrus fruit with dazzling notes. You’ll also find notes of elemi, peppers (pink, black and Sichuan), star anise and galbanum in this citrus-woody fragrance. The drydown reveals a touch of rum, intertwined with sandalwood and ambrox. Perfumer: Dora Arnaud, Firmenich.

History

Sparkling and joyful, Still Life was created by Olfactive Studio, a participatory brand run by Céline Verleure. Olfactive Studio is the encounter ‘between art photography and perfumery, between the eye and the nose.’ Chambre Noire is the offspring of a collaboration between perfumer Dora Arnaud and photographer Fréderic Lebain… A ‘luminous fragrance, like a whirl of bright, exotic cocktails inviting you to have a splendid time.’

A square bottle with rounded angles graced with a label reminiscent of photographers’ labeling tape. The packaging is decorated with a photo by Fréderic Lebain.

    Like all the other ones from that brand it's a very poetic scent. It's my last favorite of the collection but it's well-crafted, chic and very very fresh! I just dislike the notes of anis, but it's simply a matter of taste. It last about 7 hours.

    Découvert récemment, il est frais, vert et herbeux, je l'aime bien mais ne le verrais pas sur moi. C'est résolument un parfum printanier, voire estival, qui déplaira peut etre aux amoureux des senteurs douces et rondes...
