Although they are much aprreciated in fine fragrance, orchids are rarely scented. The Phalaepnosis are one of many families of orchids. The Corningiana variety, native to Indonesia, is known for its smooth, slightly sweet scent.
The head-space technique allows for preserving the flower’s delicacy and rarity. Perfumer’ can also reproduce the flower’s scent using other natural essences.
