Description
The initial note is herbal, green and crisp, spiced up with armoise and cumin. The woody middle note is composed of geranium, a flwoer that is often found in men's perfumes, and patchouli, coupled with sandalwood, vetiver and moss. The character is further intensified with a leathery note (castoreum), bathed in luscious amber.
History
With its characteristic note of chypre, Aramis embodies male strength and virility.It is one of the few current fragrances for men with a strong, recognizably leathery note. Though very popular in the 70s, fresh, clean smells are more in vogue today. Aramis is Estée Lauder's brand for men, and it is very popular among American men, who tend to like fragrances with a strong character.

L'odeur est typique des parfums masculins des années 60-70. C'est viril. Aujourd'hui il peut paraitre démodé mais il convient bien à quelqu'un qui cherche autre chose que les parfums gourmands ou autres que propose la parfumerie d'aujourd'hui. Il tient bien.

Certes, c'est un Aramis. Mais ce parfum est trop ancien pour qu'il soit découvert par quelqu'un ne le connaissant pas en 2015. Je le portais ado, et peux assurer qu'il n'est pas "intemporel" comme d'autre. Ceci n'est que mon propre avis.
