Very heady floral, jasmine-scented, orange-scented, fruity, lactose, honeyed.

The tuberose is native to India and Mexico and was imported into Europe circa 1500. It is a herbaceous plant grown from bulbs, with high stems and highly-scented white flower clusters. Nowadays it is mostly grown in India, and to a lesser extent in Egypt and France.

Extraction Method

Hand-picked flowers are not steam-distilled because the process is low-yielding and distillation deteriorates the scent. Therefore, the absolute is obtained by extraction using volatile solvents.

Use

Tuberose absolute is primarily used in floral and oriental fine perfumes.

Medicinal properties

Tuberose helps develop intuition and solve problems.
