The opening offers cassis with spicy notes of cinnamon, ginger and basil leaf, for a slightly exotic effect. The heart, which is spicy too, is graced with jasmine and wood facets. The sweeter trail blends oud wood, patchouli, myrrh and vanilla. Perfumer: Bertrand Duchaufour.

A holistic hymn to the idea of India

Spiritual and exotic, Trayee is a fragrance created by Neela Vermeire in collaboration with perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour. Vermeire was inspired by India to create a line of fragrances as “an act of deepest reverence for the traditions of the mother country.” Trayee, which means ‘the triad’, refers to Indian religious traditions, particularly the divine origin of the first 3 vedas (Rig, Yajur and Sama). Trayee takes us on a timeless spiritual quest.

Gorgeous, thoughtful bottle design. Though this is mixed gender, my first thought was that the spices would smell better on a man. Now I'm not sure, so yes I would try this.
