History

Spicy and slightly honeyed, Silk & Jasmine is a fragrance from Hugo Boss’s ‘BOSS The Collection’ line. The house wanted to ‘reinterpret the essence of the most stunning fabrics’ in order to create exceptional men’s fragrances. Each fabric is paired with an olfactory note that it has something in common with. So in this instance, for example, the fashion house is drawing attention to the fact that for more than two thousand years, the Chinese kept the trick to making silk a carefully secret. To express silk’s opulence and origins, Hugo Boss selected jasmine, a flower that was carefully cultivated in China’s royal gardens over the course of many dynasties.
