Description
A feminine Oriental with sweet, heady notes. Frankincense, amber and sandalwood are the pillars of this sensual essence.
At a glance
An Oriental fragrance with the refined scent of Japan.
History
After a series of essences reflecting the four seasons as seen through Japanese culture, ANNAYAKE is now celebrating the art of perfume itself, via a new fragrance called Miyako. Miyako means ‘the capital’ in Japanese, and its also a woman’s name. To create this essence, the house was inspired by kôdô, an ancestral game based on the olfactory ability to recognize different types of incense. Miyako’s scent is built around frankincense, with a voluptuous trail of flowers, woods and balsamic notes.
Range
Eau de Parfum, 1.7 fl. oz. Limited Edition.
Bottle
For MIYAKO, ANNAYAKE has used the same grooved, asymmetrical bottle as for its other fragrances, with a golden cap this time. The bottle fits into a box that “opens like the sliding doors on a temple.”
