Two new men are becoming faces of fragrances: Fendi wil... Go
Spices, Tea Note
Gaiac Wood, Ambroxan
A warm and bewitching fragrance, Amber & Patchouli is part of Jo Malone’s Cologne Intense collection, a series of fragrances inspired by secular rituals in the Middle East. The collection is the fruit of collaboration between perfumer Christine Nagel and Jo Malone’s design studio. The idea is to reinterpret classic perfumery ingredients into bold new scents. Each of their compositions is designed in such a way that it can be worn alone or layered with another scent from the collection for a “bespoke” effect with infinite variations. Amber & Patchouli is the fruit of the twining of two opulent ingredients, united here through a distillation process that allows for a bewitchingly spicy, woody harmony. The fragrance can be layered with the Rose Water & Vanilla or Oud & Bergamot colognes from the same collection. For more info: www.jomalone.com
From the first whiff, Amber & Patchouli unveils spicy notes and a touch of tea bestowed by essence of gaiac wood. The fragrance then reveals the ambry, musky, slightly animalic note of ambroxan. Paired with amber, the patchouli unveils intense, balsamic waves of scent, with hints of chocolate and leather. Perfumer: Christine Nagel
