Two new men are becoming faces of fragrances: Fendi wil... Go
Lil-of-the-Valley, Stephanotis, Solar Notes
Cashmeran, Sandalwood, Musk, Woodsy Notes
With Fleur de Cristal, the house of Lalique is opening an olfactory chapter pairing history and modernity. In tribute to René Lalique (who was born 150 years ago this year, 2010), the fragrance is meant as a perfect reflection of the work of the house’s founder. An alliance of his love of nature, the artist’s source of inspiration… and of women, for whom René Lalique designed jewelry, vases and more. Resolutely modern, Fleur de Cristal is dedicated to women. Lily-of-the-valley’s little bell-shaped blooms – which can be found both on the bottle and in the olfactory composition – were the obvious choice, as they are symbols of the renewal that so fascinated René Lalique. Fleur de Cristal starts by unveiling the freshness of bergamot and pink pepper. The heart reveals a white bouquet of lily-of-the-valley, the perfume’s key note, and stephanotis. A few solar notes create a slightly powdery effect. The trail blends cashmeran, sandalwood and musk. Perfumer: Raphael Haury.
Eau de Parfum 1.7 and 3.4 oz.; Cire Perdue (Lost Wax) perfume extract; Crystal Bottle perfume extract; Rich Scented Body Cream 6.8 oz.
As intricately designed as one of the house’s objets d’art, the sleek, transparent bottle is wrapped in silvery metal adorned with lily-of-the-valley’s bell-shaped blooms in surlyn, a synthetic resin.
