Two new men are becoming faces of fragrances: Fendi wil... Go
Green Notes, Violet Leaf
Moss, Woodsy Notes, Leather
After Balenciaga Paris, the Parisian couture house presents Balenciaga Paris L’Essence. Charlotte Gainsbourg, the fragrance’s muse, describes it as, ‘A straightforward, strong perfume. It’s like what I enjoy about fashion – the willful, assertive side.’ In color terms, the bottle is dark green, a deliberate choice for the designer, who wanted to upset male/female codes. The essence is woodsy, thanks to the addition of a ‘wild, untamed and incisive’ vetiver.
You’ll recognize the central violet note in Balenciaga Paris L’Essence, but it has a woodsier feel than in Balenciaga Paris. This somewhat green flanker is longer lasting, thanks to the appearance of moss notes and vetiver, as well as resinous and leathery facets.
Eau de Parfum 1, 1.7 and 2.5 oz.
The Balenciaga Paris bottle affords a glimpse of an emerald-hued juice. The ball that acts as a cap has taken on a dark grey tone, with a shiny, mirrored effect.
