Gardenia
Inspired by Sylvie Chantecaille’s passion for gardenia, Pétales, along with Vetyver and Kalimantan, composes the trio of fragrant elixirs presented in 2010 by American niche brand Chantecaille. Pétales is redolent of ‘an evening in New York’s Botanical Gardens, a party on a summer evening on the French Riviera’. Gardenia, a central element in the fragrance, is paired with jasmine and tuberose. A combination that grants the scent a fresh, classically romantic side.
Pétales opens with a velvety note of gardenia, a central element in the fragrance. It makes way in the heart for fresh, sweet notes of balsam tree (similar to a myrrh tree). The trail reveals warm, somewhat powdery notes of cedar, amber and musk. Perfumer: Pierre Négrin.
Spray 2.5 oz.
Elegant and rectangular, the transparent Pétales bottle is topped with a crystal-ball cap perched on a silvery-metal base. The fragrance’s name is set on the bottle at a jaunty angle.
