Galbanum (Ferula Galbaniflua)

Galbanum is an umbelliferous plant that grows in Iran and Afghanistan.
Galbanum gum is collected by making incisions on the roots of the plant. The gum is then distilled in order to obtain an essence or treated with solvents, yielding a resinoid.
Used primarily in green, chypre and herbal accords.
