Although I speak French, German and Arabic, at heart I’m a British nomad. In any case, I see the world from a totally international perspective. I’m inspired both by young Oriental designers and by Mary Quant, a fellow Brit. I find fashion’s revolutionary aspect endlessly fascinating. As a translator and writer for Ykone, I think of perfume as an invisible but essential accessory, the crowning touch to a stunning outfit.

My First Fragrance

Cool Water, by Davidoff. It always reminds me of days gone by, but it’s an excellent jumping-off point for discovering fragrance.

My Favorite Fragrance

1 Million by Paco Rabanne homme. That spicy-woody scent makes me absolutely euphoric every time I wear it.

The Fragrance that Makes My Heart Beat Faster

I just love Dior’s Eau de Parfum – such an emblematic fragrance. It gives you the sense that femininity and floral essences are one and the same.
