Rose Hubris
Description
Rose Hubris opens with lychee and fenugreek, then those notes gradually yield to a heart of rose underscored with labdanum. Base notes of oak moss and patchouli wrap the fragrance in a woodier character. Perfumer: Olivier Pescheux, Givaudan.
History
Rose Hubris is a fragrance from niche brand Ex Nihilo. Pairing heritage and innovation, the designers wanted to work with top-of-the-line ingredients in unusual combinations. The juice nestles in an Art Deco-inspired bottle, and the cap can be personalized with precious cabochons. An ode to May rose, a.k.a. Damask rose, the fragrance features all the facets of that legendary flower. In Greek, Hubris means excess or immoderation. For more information: ex-nihilo-paris.com

I thought "hubris" meant "ego," so I must be wrong. But rose does have an ego almost to match that of jasmine. Love the Art Deco bottle cap.

Le litchi et le fenugrec en notes de tête ne semblent pas très heureux au regard du reste de la pyramide bien plus avenante.
