Déclaration, Cool Water, Vol de Nuit, Eternity…: all these scents and more are celebrating anniversaries in 2013!
27 june 20132013 marks a key anniversary for several classic scents. A perfect excuse to take a(nother) look at these cult fragrances!
For her:
If you like oriental perfumes, Guerlain’s très chic Vol de Nuit is 80 this year – not bad! And another oriental scent, but with a more modern, floral style, Gaultier Classique, is turning 20. To celebrate: an haute-couture inspired collectible bottle.
If you prefer floral notes, especially rose, Yves Saint Laurent’s Paris is now 30. For a less powdery, woodsier rose, you could try Givenchy’s Very Irrésistible. For the 10th anniversary, Givenchy has unveiled a new face for the fragrance: Amanda Seyfried.
For fans of spicier florals: L’Air du Temps is 65 this year. For the occasion, the house has unveiled a magnificent blue bottle designed by Olivia Putman. Another fragrant monument worth going back to for a new look: Calvin Klein’s Eternity pour femme. Its spicy-powdery bouquet is now 25 years old!
And finally, Yves Rocher is celebrating 10 years of their best-seller, Comme une Evidence, which is classified as a floral-chypre scent. In September, you’ll also be able to check out a new eau de parfum intense version.
But the grand old dame of this list is Cologne Impériale, a citrusy eau from the house of Guerlain. Created in 1853, 2013 marks its 160th anniversary!

For fans of woody notes, Cartier is celebrating 15 years of elegant sensuality with their classic scent, Déclaration. Another floral-woody scent that’s got candles on its cake this year: Dior’s Fahrenheit turns 25.
Both smokier and greener, Ralph Lauren’s Polo is celebrating its 35th anniversary. As is Azzaro pour Homme, a classic fougère-aromatic.
In the same family, but in a slightly more bracing mode, Paco Rabanne pour Homme turns 40 this year. Happy birthday, Paco! And for those who prefer their fougère fragrances with a fresher feel, Cool Water by Davidoff is definitely worth a second look. This international hit has 25 candles on its cake this year.
For men who like sweeter scents, Boss Bottled is 15, and definitely worth checking out for its vanilla, wood and apple notes.
Finally, for men (and women, too!) who love amber, Serge Lutens cultissime Ambre Sultan is celebrating 20 stunning years. Originally sold at the Salons Shiseido du Palais Royal boutique in 1993, this unisex scent entered the Serge Lutens collection in 2000.

je suis tout a fait d'accord avec FLUR66 sur Yves rocher je cherche désespérément se que trouve les gens a ses parfums qui pour moi sont très critiquable tant de points ... et je remercie MAXIMKA pour la richesse de sont commentaire qui est a la hauteur de l'article j'ai déjà qu'une envie c'est de le sentir ... Moscou rouge... quel nom invocateur d'une période de trouble ! J'aime les histoires qui transporte les parfums dans le temps , je repence a ses fragrances perdu que je sentais sur ma grand mere de WEIL ...
Report abuseParis d'YSL a 30 ans ??? Moi qui l'ai découvert relativement récemment, je n'aurais pas cru... Le temps est souvent le gage d'un parfum équilibré qui marque une époque.

Report abuseC'est vrai que c'est l'anniversaire du fameux parfum d'Yves Rocher !!! Le seul que je trouve à peu près portable, pour ma part (je suis dure avec la marque, mais je suis quasiment toujours déçue, sauf avec ce parfum que je trouve élégant).
