Cascarilla comes from a small tree native to the West Indies. Its essence is produced in small quantities in Europe and the United States.

Extraction Method

Cascarilla essence is obtained through steam distillation of the ground dried bark of a small tree (16.5 feet).

Use

Cascarilla essence is mostly used in Chypre and oriental perfumes. Used as a flavor enhancer in beverages, candies, condiments and tobacco.
