Description

The scent opens with spicy notes of saffron and incense. The rich floral heart mixes tuberose and rose. The fragrance lingers on a rich oriental base of amber and oud wood. Perfumer : Antoine Lie, Givaudan.

At a glance

A trendy, edgy scent for connoisseurs

History

Born in London in 1967, Daphne Guinness has been at various times a designer, a stylist, a writer, a film-maker, a collector and she now has her perfume, created in collaboration with indie brand Comme des Garçons. Daphne’s parents were Jonathan Guinness, the brewery heir, and renowned French beauty Suzanne Lisney. Daphne Guinness’ fragrance embodies what she describes as “this battle of contradictions”, with incense, tuberose and a base note of oud. The result is ‘a scent that is simultaneously sensuously opulent and classically pure. Like Daphne herself, it subtly defies logic and definition.’
