La Nuit Trésor by Lancôme

02 february 2015

The brand brings together two stars of the perfume world to create the first gourmand aphrodisiac fragrance, the new love potion of the 21st century : Christophe Raynaud, master perfumer who makes complex floral notes sublime by gently tousling them up, combining them with more modern elements and Amandine Marie, who beautifully revisited the most famous of all flowers, the rose, and likes nothing better than to work and reinvent this raw material.

These two stars work hand in hand to transform Lancôme’s symbol into a mysterious black rose, as multifacetted as a rough diamond framed by Tahitensis vanilla orchid, sensually gourmand and leathery.

La Nuit Trésor is «an elegant black rose, laced with an enigmatic halo, like a nightly charm», as Amandine Marie says.

The one-of-a-kind bottle is inspired by the shape of the 1952 «Trésor originel», a rough diamond chiselled into 75 facets. It is a real, sparkling jewel, adorned with a black satin rose. Inside, the fragrance shines, as smooth as desire itself.

Watch the ineluctable attraction between Penélope Cruz and Ilay Kurelovic, directed by Rob Marshall, and later discover how the mysterious black diamond that inspired the design of the bottle, came into existence.

Excellent film. The two lovers tell a tempestous tale without saying a word. Penelope Cruz looks wonderful and intriguing at the same time. The duality of the approach to "Love," is inspiring and works. The bottle design is so symbolic now that I know the inside story. I need more gourmand fragrances and I know I will try this. Rose and leather. I love both.
