Viva Aqua Allegorias

Nature reigns supreme in Guerlain land. Flowers grow in the mind, and smells engender landscapes. Thus were created the Aqua Allegorias, pure offerings of simple, light and transparent fragrances. They are "Daughters of Mother Earth and Father Imagination," according to Jean-Paul Guerlain.

"For me, gardens are places of wonder in which I breathe deep, where I am reborn thanks to tidal waves of color, silence and scent." This quest for a cool freshness tinged with flowers and joyful fragrances has inspired the master.

A new composition

Gone is the traditional olfactory pyramid. The magic springs from a single accord. Thanks to the combination of two basic materials of excellent quality - a Guerlain hallmark - his Aqua Allegorias are an invitation to travel to fantasy lands. Their extroverted trail is light, yet bold. Unlike the classic Eau de Cologne, which aims for a certain consensus, each Aqua Allegoria is designed for just one thing: sheer pleasure. A revisited family

So Aqua Lavande Velours, Rosa Magnifica and Flora Nerolia shall progressively be phased out of production, to make way for cheerful new scents such as Lilia Bella and Gentiana. Jean-paul Guerlain points out that Lilia Bella, which has gotten more attention, possesses a "powerful scent obtained from those fragile but capricious bell-flowers. The lily of the valley, cozily snuggling in the shade ofgreen leaves, reveals its fragrance thanks to the bouquet of lilacs and roses whose light spirit evokes spring."

As for Gentiana, it unveils a new freshness. "I love that specific smell that blossoms at dawn when the dew opens up the tender ruffs of wild gentian." The novel combination of the sweet and bitter notes of gentian and pear has a sparkling effect that tickles your taste buds: a refined version of an invigorating breath of fresh air.
Aqua Allegorias were created for women who haven't entered Guerlain's universe yet, especially young women, or those who like to change their perfumes on a whim, for no other reason than a desire for light and natural fragrances.
