Summer, a timeless source of inspiration

Like nature and travel, summer is a source of endless inspiration for fragrance brands. While summer editions have often changed names over the years (sorbet, cocktail, sunessence and more), many of them still use the words summer, or “été” (French for summer) in the product names. Calvin Klein, for instance, presents 3 limited “Summer” editions this year: ck one Summer, Eternity summer, Eternity Summer for men); Kate Moss proposes a new scent christened kate Summer time; and Burberry, the Burberry Summer duo. The Body Shop has come up with a sunnier version of White Musk: White Hot Summer. And Yves Rocher is introducing a green-fruity-exotic scent called Green Summer. Often launched well ahead of the actual season, these creations prove that the ‘summer’ branding still catch’s customers’ attention in perfumery. Among the timeless summer scents, let’s not forget about Kenzo’s fragrances Summer by Kenzo (sunny-powdery) and Parfum d’Eté (greener).
