Extraction Method
Absolute of coffee is extracted from the coffee beans, using volatile solvents. The result is a very thick and dark liquid.
Use
It is rarely used in perfumery because of its low solubility. However, it is found in perfumes with leather, chypre and vanilla notes.
Medicinal properties
Coffee beans contain an alkaloid with stimulating properties: caffeine.
