Two new men are becoming faces of fragrances: Fendi wil... Go
Fruity, exotic, lactonic, terebenthine.
Sought after in many culinary preparations, mango is the fruit of the mango tree, a member of the anacardiaceous family that grows in many tropical regions (Asia, Antilles, Central America, Africa. The fruit’s sweet, yellow-to-orange flesh is juicy and often stringy. The pit is a flattened oval, usually quite large.
Mango is generally used in women’s scents, where it brings an exotic, fruity touch with lactonic accents. The green mango note is also used sometimes, which evokes the greener, more terpenic scent of mango peel.
One can’t extract an essential oil from mangoes. On the other hand, the note can be identically reproduced in the lab, especially thanks to the headspace technique.
