Soylu hanımlar saçlarının arasında, sandastrum doldurulmuş küçük altın çıngıraklar taşırlardı. Bizansta ayrıca aromatik pastil ve kokulu şekerler bolca tüketiliyordu. Antik çağ insanı için güzel kokular tanrısal yakarışın simgesidir. Ben Winshaw was the perfect glass to hold the complex Jean-Baptise Grenouille. Grenouille contained notes no one might care to experience in isolation, but, as the perfectly scented human he was compelled to be, he was irresistible.
