Cuir’s aromatic opening of cardamom and absinthe segues into the heart of leather, the fragrance’s key element (Cuir means leather in French). Cade (an evergreen shrub native to the French Mediterranean coastal region) adds its smoky notes to the leather scent. The trail blends the animalic, tobacco-inflected and leathery facets of castoreum with the ambry, vanilla-inflected and resinous notes of opoponax.
