Avon takes on Zoe Saldaña, the star of Avatar

The actress Zoe Saldaña, who plays Neytiri in James Cameron’s blockbuster, will be the face of ‘Eternal Magic’, a new perfume from Avon. In addition to the fragrance, scheduled for April 2010, Zoe Saldaña, 31, will also be the face of the brand’s make-up lines. Another Zoe who’s hot in fragrance: Zoe Kravitz. At age 21, Lenny Kravitz’s daughter is the face of designer Vera Wang’s fragrant line Princess.

A new face for Flower by Kenzo

Flower by Kenzo will be celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2010. For the occasion, the house has just unveiled a new face: Lika Minamoto. Alongside her studies in linguistic sciences, this lovely young Japanese woman started modeling, learned French and decided to pursue her passion for the cinema. She was recently scene in the Barbet Schroeder film INJU. And now Lika is the heroine of Kenzo’s new ad campaign, which osMoz will be bringing you an exclusive behind-the-scenes report about in January.

New Dior Homme campaign with Jude Law

Having been the face of Dior Homme Sport, British actor Jude Law, 36, is now also the icon of Dior Homme Intense, an extreme version of the balsamy-woody iris. After the tarot-inspired D & G collection (The Moon, The Lover, and more), the Italian designing duo has just launched Rose The One, the third volume in the The One trilogy. After gold (The One) and silver (L’Eau the One), it’s coppery pink for the fruity-floral Rose The One. The ad, with a boudoir feel, features Scarlett Johansson. Singer Fergie gets into fragrance

The singer from the group the Black Eyed Peas will have her own perfume soon. Fergie, 34 – whose real name is Stacy-Ann Ferguson Duhamel, has just signed up with the American cosmetics group Avon. The perfume should be ready by August 2010, in plenty of time for a scheduled USA launch in November, 2010. Avon has already come up with perfumes with other celebrities, including Courteney Cox, Patrick Dempsey and Oscar-winner Reese Witherspoon. Photo and info: PrNewswire

Enrique Iglesias, Azzaro’s virile new Don Juan

To incarnate their best-selling Azzaro pour Homme (a slightly ambry and anise-y aromatic fougère scent from 1978), Azzaro fragrances has chosen Spanish crooner Enrique Iglesias, 34. The ad features the best-selling Latin lover (over 40 million albums sold) with an unidentified woman whose face we can’t see clinging to him. It’s a sexy and virile, slightly macho ambiance, but one which suits this classic men’s scent to a T. This isn’t the first time Julio Iglesias’s son has been the face of a fragrance. In 2005, Tommy Hilfiger picked him to represent their fragrance True Star Men.

Beyoncé is launching a perfume in her own name

American diva Beyoncé, 27, has signed with the Coty group to develop a fragrance bearing the pop star’s name, which should be released in early 2010. With over 100 million copies of her records sold, ‘Beyoncé is heading off for a new adventure with tremendous potential’ Beyoncé confides: ‘While I love various perfumes, I haven’t found a scent that truly personifies me as a woman. In 2006, Tom Ford picked her to incarnate the dark, carnal face of his first fragrance, Black Orchid. This fall, Jil Sander fragrances (Coty) picked Julia Restoin Roitfeld to incarnate Jil, their new perfume. Although she’s just 28, Julia is not an unknown. With a degree from a school of design, the daughter of the famous editor of Vogue France was seen most recently in an ad campaign for fashion brand Mango, accompanied by her brother.

Charlotte Gainsbourg: the face of Balenciaga

After several years away from the fragrance scene, Balenciaga will be back in February with a new perfume. Coty, who now manages Balenciaga’s fragrances, has announced that Charlotte Gainsbourg (seen here with Nicolas Ghesquière, the fashion brand’s artistic director) will be the face of the new fragrance. Musically, Charlotte, 38, the daughter of Jane Birkin (an English actress who lives in France) and Serge Gainsbourg (a provocative singer-songwriter who passed away in 1991), is working on her 3rd album. Cinematically, after 2 Césars (France’s equivalent of the Oscars) in 1986 et 2000, she won Best Actress at this year’s Cannes Film Festival for her role in Lars Von Trier’s ‘Antichrist’.

Queen Latifah launches a regal perfume

After Paris Hilton’s, Jessica Simpson’s and Andy Roddick’s, and before Rihanna’s, Kanye West’s and Jay-Z’s, the American group Parlux is launching a new celebrity perfume: Queen Latifah’s. The 39-year-old singer and actress, whose real name is Dana Elaine Owens, has unveiled Queen, a passion-red woodsy-oriental, signed Steve DeMercado, from Fragrance Resources.
