Kristen Stewart: the new face of Balenciaga

After Charlotte Gainsbourg, Balenciaga perfumes have invited another actress to be their latest face.

Kristen Stewart, the famous star of the Twilight saga, was picked for ‘her modern elegance and her innately rebellious style.’ Not quite 22 years old, the actress was the obvious choice to incarnate the image of Balenciaga’s next perfume, artistic director Nicolas Ghesquière explains.

The launch is scheduled for 2012. As for the fragrance and its composition, we’ll be revealing more info soon on osMoz.

Celebrities: a wedding, a perfume, a divorce

There’s a wind of separation blowing through celebrity society… and Kim Kardashian isn’t going to contradict us. When the middle sister filed for divorce just 72 days after marrying basketball player Kris Humphries, it was a real media circus.

The sisters are big on basketball players! Khloé Kardashian, the youngest of the three, is married to Lamar Odom, another basketball player. They are the happy parents of… Unbreakable, a unisex scent that came out last spring.

To cheer herself up, Kim Kardashian will soon be launching her third scent. After Kim Kardashian and Gold, this spring she will unveil True Reflection, which will be ‘really different from my previous fragrances’ she has announced. To be continued…

Another star has also recently been in the headlines both for her divorce and for the release of her latest perfume! Who? Heidi Klum, of course! The top model, and m.c. of Project Runway will be separating from singer Seal after 7 years of marriage and four children… and just a few months after launching Summer Shine, a sunny flanker for her floriental Shine.

In fact, singers seem to be having more than their share of divorces, lately. Last July, Jennifer Lopez announced her divorce from singer Marc Anthony. And Katy Perry is leaving British actor Russel Brand after a year. But neither young woman will have time to mope: they’re both working on upcoming new perfumes! J-lo will be unveiling the latest variation on her floral, Glow, later this year. And Katy Perry has been inspired by cats once again: after her first fragrance, Purr, fans will soon be able to try Meow!.

Do you know Jon Kortajarena Redruello? Of course you do! He’s the new It Boy of the moment!

The top model dancing the flamenco, looking totally possessed by the music in the latest ad for Gaultier’s Kokorico… that’s him! And he’s in the ads for designer Carolina Herrera’s new fragrance, 212 VIP Men (photo), too.

But the 26-year-old Spaniard isn’t only sought after for fragrance ads. His most fervent fans can find him in ads for H&M, Guess, Armani, DKNY, David Yurman, Dolce & Gabbana and Chanel… and plenty more! Still, one other thing that stands out in his career is that he is a recurrent runway model for Tom Ford’s men’s collections. In fact, he even played the role of a male prostitute in the American couturier’s 2009 film, A Single Man.

Rumor has it that in 2010, Jon even caught Madonna’s eye! Clearly he doesn’t leave anyone indifferent… does he?

People have been talking about it for years. But now it’s really true: Madonna is launching her own perfume. And its name is: Truth or Dare. Watch out!

In fact, Truth or Dare was the original name of the 1991 documentary about ‘Lady Madonna,’ which is better known as ‘In Bed with Madonna.’ An unforgettable film…

Madonna joined forces with Iconix and perfume and cosmetics group Coty. So what will it smell like? It’s a ‘narcotic floral’ enhanced with addictively woody and vanilla notes. A timeless perfume –both dark and luminous, according to the 300-million-record-selling pop star.

Although other companies have already used the brand name ‘Madonna Nudes 1979’ before now, Truth or Dare is the first fragrance that the American pop diva has worked on herself.

“Over the past several decades, I have been approached countless times to create my own brand. The timing is right and I have found great partners to translate my vision to reality,” Ms. Ciccone explains.

You don’t know who Elisa is? Well, the 23-year-old Franco-Italian actress-model has been a cover girl for several fashion magazines.

What’s more, Roberto Cavalli chose her as the face of his perfume launching next February, which was created in partnership with the Coty group. ‘Elisa is self-confident, and she has an incredible personality. She’s got an animal side to her, she’s enthusiastic and truly sexy, with a stunning body and a captivating gaze,’ according to Roberto Cavalli in person.

Dita Von Teese, the world’s most famous pin-up, has something new up her sleeve! Already knwon for her skills as a strip-tease artist, dancer and model, at age 39, she is moving into the world of perfume.

Her first creation is called Femme Totale. In February, Dita told People magazine what she didn’t want in her fragrance: “no fruit, no vanilla, no candy!” Instead, she’s aiming for a creation with “Velvet sensuality with a dash of vulgarity!” Now there’s an unusually honest appraisal!

The result is a peppery-chypry floral bouquet, intended, according to the burlesque star, to make self-confident women even sexier. The bottle suits Von Teese’s retro-vintage style to a T. No spray button, but an old-fashioned bulb for a glamorous, boudoir look.
