PRADA THE EMANCIPATED
Anti-conformist, the ironically off-beat chic of Miuccia Prada most likely comes from her past as an activist in the Italian Communist Party. Heir to a Milanese family-owned leather-goods workshop founded in 1913, along with her husband Patrizio Bertelli, she masterfully manages a fashion empire now worth over $1.5 million, with more than 200 boutiques around the world. Her first perfume, Prada, launched in September 2005, is a reflection of the bourgeois label… but not without a sense of humor. An Amber accord, delicate Oriental notes en graved at the heart of a stunning square bottle, combining technology and craftsmanship, with an old-fashioned spray bulb. |
