As you walk into this bonkers bazaar, you are immediately stunned by the amount of fashion pieces everywhere… yes, everything a starlet could want: from the hottest denims hanging on the wall and tees stacked on the floor to Hawaiian flip flops in boxes, the hippest hand bags, lucky charm bracelets, Missoni shoes…

… and then on your right, the Apothecary & Cosmetics department. It carries many niche beauty brands (my favourite discovery is the Jo Wood Organics Body Dew, energizing orange-blossom water, great to cool down your hot bod…), European names like Agent Provocateur, NY names like Bond n° 9, Creed, Mor Cosmetics and candles and many Los Angeles native lines which I do confess to being on the look-out for…

Be perfume, designed by famous L.A. fashion duo Becker and Eshaya, caught my eye of course, as well as the entire Kai line, the famous Malibu fragrance everyone raves about… the Californian craze for gardenia scents all began with Kai!

Be by Becker and Eshaya was created by two fashion icons: Kirsten Becker worked for a top L.A. fashion showroom, and John Eshaya was the celebrated buyer and visionary for Ron Herman / Fred Segal stores. Be is as L.A. as it gets!
