The house of Versace was founded in 1978 by Gianni Versace, his brother Santos and his sister Donatella. Originally focused exclusively on haute couture, the brand’s flamboyant style was a huge success, and the house soon branched out into accessories, home decoration and fragrance. The first fragrances appeared in 1981 for women and 1985 for men. The recipient of many awards for his creative genius, Gianni Versace was murdered at the height of his fame, in 1997. His sister Donatella has been the family-run house’s artistic director ever since. The brand’s fragrances include: The Dreamer, Blonde, V/S, Versace Man Eau Fraîche and the ‘Jeans’ collection.
