Loris Azzaro (1933–2003) created the house that bears his name. Born in Italy, he found success in France in the late 60s, with a couture collection combining femininity and glamour. Azzaro dressed some of the biggest stars of his day: Brigitte Bardot, Liza Minelli, Raquel Welch... His first fragrance, a perfume called Azzaro Couture, was released in 1975, and was followed by Azzaro pour Homme (a best-seller to this day) in 1978, then other creations that are no longer available. Chrome, Silver Black and Eau Belle were all synonymous with the sweet smell of success for the brand... In 2004, Vanessa Seward took over as artistic director. Since 2008, Azzaro has also proposed a range of skin care for men.
