shopping for fragrances is one of my passions - i simply cannot pass by a prefume counter without stopping and snooping.
to be totally honest I am not big on designer fragrances - in my mind shoes and parfume do not mix, and so i tend to disregard products by fashion houses such as prada, armani D&G etc. I did, however, try the first prada creation for men - Amber pour homme, out of sheer curiosity and somewhat liked it, though I found it to be way too sharp for my taste.
infusion d'iris is a radical departure from Amber pour homme or from other 'mainstream' scents for the male audience for that matter. To start with it is a very subtle and refined scent which at the same time is remarkably strong. Iris notes no doubt dominate the enire composition, with powdery clean notes as a finishing touch. It is a fragrance that cannot offend regardless of how liberally one applies it - the scent envelopes its wearer in a subtle aura without producing any sharp smells that tend to characterize most of commercially available perfumes for men. all in all it is a scent for a languid poet type of a man, someone romantic and gentle without overpowering masculinity of presence. it is a scent of relaxing luxury rather than of smouldering passion.
