Description

This fragrance is a classic fougere that hinges on woody and fresh notes of bergamot, lime, pine and vetiver. The end note is composed of moss and rare fruit.

History

In 1949, Marcel Rochas successfully pioneered men's perfumery. The name Moustache refers to the only adornment allowed to men. It came to him whilst visiting the Louvre Museum, as he saw Van Dyck's portrait of a mustachioed, bearded, Charles I as a huntsman.

Bottle

The new 2000 bottle is made of frosted glass, topped with a brushed silver stopper. The lines are pure. A rounded inscription of the name Moustache in intense burgundy adorns the bottle.

I really love the name "Moustache." It is not only funny but should appeal to mustache wearers! I love the "back story" of this fragrance. It is always a bonus to hear how & why a fragrance is created - especially if it's very particular as this one. I'd like my man to try an aromatic scent but this one could be very heady & not his type.

Imaginez Clark Gable, en costume croisé, sourire aux lèvres, un imperméable sur le bras qui se présente à votre porte. Vous ouvrez et les effluves de Moustache viennent caresser vos narines.
