Description

Hard to classify, Amyris Homme opens with fresh and aromatic notes of mandarin orange and rosemary. The heart intertwines Jamaican amyris’s soft, woody smell with iris from Florence. The drydown reveals the warmth of tonka bean paired with modern woods that grant a slightly leathery effect. Perfumer: Francis Kurkdjian.

History

Dry, woody and floral, Amyris Homme is the very incarnation of modern masculinity. In 2012, Maison Francis Kurkdjian has launched a pair of fragrances composed around iris and amyris, a shrub whose Greek name means ‘intensely scented.’ The resin releases a ‘very luminous, creamy, soft scent, with just a touch of something powdery and grainy.’ The women’s version is somewhat sweeter, the men’s more powerful. Amyris is a shade away from sandalwood. The composition around rosemary, iris, orange and leather sounds so sophisticated! Men deserve a "creamy" perfume scent.
