Bois d’Hiver opens with spicy notes of pink pepper and cardamom. In the heart, cedar intertwines with heliotrope and cyclamen. The woody trail is composed of sandalwood, patchouli, cypriol and white musk. Perfumer: Michel Girard, Givaudan.

Bois d’Hiver is a fragrance from niche brand Ex Nihilo. Pairing heritage and innovation, the designers wanted to work with top-of-the-line ingredients in unusual combinations. The juice nestles in an Art Deco-inspired bottle, and the cap can be personalized with precious cabochons. Enveloped in powders and musk, this scent is like ‘an iron fist in a velvet glove.’ For more information:

Formule intéressante, malgré la présence inévitable cette année du poivre rose. Le flacon est beau

"An iron fist in a velvet glove," are words that grab my attention. That is like saying "Bad. But not too bad." I must test this.
