Fifteen candles for fall-winter

22 october 2012

Now that summer days are far behind us, why not create a comfortable atmosphere at home by lighting a candle? Here is a selection of scented candles!

Autumn Leavesby Yankee Candle unveils a fragrance made of birch notes, maple leaves pomegranate and juniper berry. But you may also like Apple Cider with its cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg aromas. If you’re looking for a gourmand scented candle, you should try Warm Apple Pie by Village Candle.

Slatkin & Co reveals its own interpretation of the smell of autumn. The Leaves candle is fruitier with apple and red berries notes. With Fresh Balsam, White Barn imagines a walk in the woods with scents of eucalyptus, pine needles and cedar. Both are available on bathandbodyworks.com

Beanpod offers you warmth around a Chai Tea latte and its smells of cinnamon, vanilla, ginger and star anise.

With Root candles, it’s already winter with Hollyberry, a blend of pomegranate, goji berry, star anise and white musks.

Chesapeake Bay Candle imagines Spiced Plum, and Pumpkin Harvest. Both are spicy and crispy and celebrate autumn. In the lovely collection of Chesapeake Bay Candle, also try Tangelo Mimosa, a nice way to get some sun in your house!

Very chic also : Diptyque ! Like every year, the French brand launches a holiday collection of candles. Sapin Doré (‘golden fir tree’ in french) and Oliban (‘frankincense’) are part of it. The first one is built around galbanum, fir balsam and patchouli. Oliban is more mystical with scents of incense, myrrh and vetiver.

This fall-winter, discover Blissliving Home candles and especially Hong Kong with its smell of magnolia, Shangri-La and its imaginary scent of vanilla rice flower and Whistler, and its lemongrass cilantro fragrance. Perfect for travelling without moving…

And you, what is your favorite candle scent? Your favorite candle brand?

I think I've smelled every scent that Yankee Candle makes. I'm not that fond of them. I would like a candle by Gianni Rose or Whister's lemongrass cilantro. I use vanilla candles year round.
