Chaumet, the celebrated jeweler on the equally celebrated Place Vendôme, has finally brought out with its first men's fragrance. This eau de toilette brings together warm and cold aromatics. Its first statement is a lively one shaped with notes of grapefruit, fig and bergamot. Then it opens up with the essence of maté leaves (a South American shrub), jasmine and vetiver. As if inlaid with musks, this fragrance is embraced by sandalwood and macis and matured with ambergris. Inspired by Malévitch's 1913 Black Square on a White Base, the glass, metal and gum flacon is decidedly modernist. Spray bottle (50 and 100 ml.)
