A rich and sensuous oriental fragrance created like a true perfume whose floral facets bring a sleek and classical elegance. A fresh and transparent top note (bergamot and fig tree leaves), a floral middle note with jasmine and peony and finally a sensuous end note of sandalwood, patchouli and vanilla.

The bottle evokes a craftsman's workshop with its material wrought in the heat of great creations. A string is wrapped around the neck of the bottle, the lid -a jewel!-, and the drape is directly sculpted on the bottle. That is how Balenciaga created his models, with his bare hands on the perfect medium , a woman's body.

Cristobal by Balenciaga is one of my personal favorites. It may not go down in history as highly rated as the legendary Shalimar; however, I still give it 5 stars. This scent represents the soft and feminine side of the classic well put together woman. Vanilla and spice give the right amount of warmth, but not heavy.
