In October, cosmetics turn pink for a good cause

Date: 10.10.2007

For the last 14 years, October has been pink in the world of perfume, with the pink-ribbon campaign against breast-cancer. In 1993, Evelyn Lauder created the ‘Breast Cancer Research Foundation', in order to support clinical and genetic research. At her initiative, the month of October has become international breast-cancer awareness month. Several brands have signed up for this good cause, including Clinique and Estée Lauder, as well as Marie Claire magazine, the perfume shops Marionnaud and the lingerie and fashion brand Wolford.
