Arnica (Arnica Montana)

Category Tobacco

Tobacco, herbaceous, bitter.

The arnica plant grows in mountainous regions as well as in the pastures of Europe and the United States.

The extract is obtained using volatile solvents on the flowers of arnica montana, an annual plant that grows between 7 to 20 inches high.
It is also called "the sneezing plant".
The essence of arnica can also be extracted from rhizomes, but has no commercial value in perfumery.

It is associated with aromatic, tobacco, fougere and chypre notes and used in the flavoring of liqueurs.

Arnica relieves rheumatism and treats bruises.
It has a relaxing and soothing effect in foot baths and also possesses antispasmodic properties (for external use only)
