Grains of Paradise is a spice native to West Africa, in the zingiberaceae family. Also known as maniguette, grains of paradise possesses a refined aroma, like a cross between cardamom and pepper.

The essenital oil is obtained through distillation of the grains.

Grains of paradise is used in fine fragrance. A creative alternative to pepper, its warm and spicy scent is gentler and more aromatic.
