Category Floral

Rose note, typical of the flower.

France, Turkey, Bulgaria and Morocco (the Daddes Valley) are the main producers of roses.
Native to Asia Minor.

Rose essence is obtained through steam distillation of the freshly-picked flowers.
Flowers are hand-picked in the morning and quickly processed to avoid fermentation.
Concrete and absolute are obtained by extraction using volatile solvents.
About 650 to 1,300 lbs of roses make 2 lb of concrete and f4 to 5 tons make 1 kg of essence.

Rose absolute is generally used in perfumes of every olfactive family.

Roses have existed for over 3,000 years.Ancient civilizations used them as the main ingredient in perfumes and skin care products.
In Morocco the Arabs and Berbers started distilling roses and rose byproducts as early as the first century B.C.

Rose leaf infusion has anti-stress, toning and antiseptic properties.
It is a symbol of love (the pink rose stands for purity, the red rose for passion, etc.)
