Honeysuckle (Lonicera fragrantissima)

Category Floral

floral, jasmine, orange-blossom, sweet

Honeysuckle is a flowering shrub in the caprifoliacous family. Native to China, it thrives in temperate and Mediterranean zones. The small white blossoms, with their jasmine-like scent, bloom in late winter.

Honeyscukle is used essentially in women’s fragrances. It delivers a sweetly floral scent with jasmine, orange, herbal and honey notes.

Essential oils are not extracted from the blossoms. Their scent can, however, be recreated using other natural essences, or via the head-space method.
