The seeds are harvested, dried, soaked in alcohol (rum) for twelve to twenty-four hours and are finally dried once again. They develop cristals of coumarin on the surface. After the seeds are reduced to powder, the absolute and concrete products are extracted with solvents.
The essence lends a sweet and natural nuance to fern, amber and oriental combinations.
